Help with 2.6
« Reply #1 on: December 15, 2006, 06:44:18 PM »

Hi, I'm on a MBP dual 17 running 10.4.8. I had an older version of Slashdock that worked fine and I updated to 2.6 and now it doesn't work. When I start Slashdock it comes up but everything is greyed out and none of the feeds even show up. What did I do wrong? I opened the dmg and dragged the app to the old location and replaced. I really miss my Slashdock!

I had the same problem. I got no response to my emails requesting help, so I did a little exploring on the net. Turns out the file I downloaded from the SlashDock site wasn't the Universal Binary version. I found another site that had a UB download, and it worked fine from the get-go. Check VersionTracker or other sites. Hopefully that will fix it for you as well.

Grayed out menu's 2.6 no preference selection
« Reply #3 on: September 03, 2007, 09:51:15 AM »

Same trouble. Intel imac. Downloaded update to Slashdock and it does not work.  I tried several other download sites including version tracker with no results.  The preference menu item is grayed out. The program is running but does not work!  What is the last version of this program that will work and how can I get it?  I've used this for years and really like it.

SlashDock is a nice way to keep up with the latest headlines via the Mac OS X Dock.
SlashDock can get a bit cumbersome with many feeds, though, and isn't very good
at organizing.
